Thesis Question:
How can architecture contribute to well-being, energy balance, and social interaction in high-performance environments?
Research:
Studies in neuro-architecture and biophilic design demonstrate that integrating natural elements into built environments significantly enhances mental and physical health, reduces stress, accelerates physical recovery, and fosters social interaction. Research on previous Olympic villages highlights gaps in designing spaces that encourage natural social engagement while also providing restorative environments for peak performance.
Architectural Solution:
The "Tree of Life" Olympic Village proposes an innovative, multi-layered approach that integrates Biophilic Design, Community-Centric Planning, Mixed-Use Adaptive Spaces,
and Smart Sustainable Systems to create a holistic living environment for athletes

My Journey as an Athlete: A Life Shaped by Tennis
From the moment I picked up a tennis racquet at age 6.5 the sport has been an integral
part of my identity. What began as a childhood passion evolved into a professional pursuit,
leading me to compete on the WTA tour and maintaing a profesonial ranking for 7 yesrs.
Acheving so many results in many different tournaments against top WTA players over the years
My collegiate career at Virginia Tech further honed my skills and character playing as the

taught me discipline, time management, and the importance of perseverance.
Beyond the court, tennis has been a conduit for personal growth and global exploration.
Competing internationally exposed me to diverse cultures and perspectives, enriching my
world view and fostering lifelong friendships. The sport’s challenges and triumphs have
shaped my approach to life, emphasizing the values of dedication, adaptability, and continuous
self-improvement.

Introduction and concept development
A Bioinspired Sanctuary for Olympic Athletes - Tree of Life High-Rise sets a new benchmark for athlete well-being in urban environments. The Tree of Life High-Rise is an architectural exploration of how design can enhance well-being, energy balance, and social interaction in dense urban environments. Inspired by the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, which symbolizes personal growth, interconnectedness, and spiritual ascension, this project reimagines the high-rise as a living organism—a space that nurtures both body and mind while fostering a strong sense of community.
Rooted in bio-inspired architecture and mindfulness principles, the design integrates
dynamic, multi-sensory spaces that evolve throughout the building, much like a tree
reaching toward the sun. The structural concept introduces hidden Zen gardens every three
residential floors, providing moments of tranquility and nature immersion within the urban
fabric. A spiraling façade reflects the flow of energy, transitioning from serene, meditative
spaces at the base to vibrant, socially interactive hubs at the top.
The project aims to redefine high-density living by creating an environment that minimizes
isolation and maximizes social engagement and holistic well-being. Through an innovative
combination of sustainable design strategies, adaptive architecture, and experiential
spaces, the Tree of Life High-Rise serves as a blueprint for future urban developments—where architecture not only shelters but also inspires, heals, and connects its inhabitants
