Hey there. I'm Tamara
A fifth-year architecture student at Virginia Tech University's School of Architecture. professional Women's Tennis Association (WTA) player and a former member of the Virginia Tech Women's Tennis Team. Currently, I serve as the strategy manager for the Hillel organization at VT, and I was previously a member of the VT Phi sorority club.

My passion
Balancing academics with a professional tennis career from a young age has taught me resilience, independence, and adaptability. Competing on the WTA tennis tour exposed me to diverse cultures and environments, sparking my passion for design as a means of empowerment and connection. These experiences have profoundly shaped my personal growth and approach to my field.Over the past four years, I have led the Virginia Tech tennis team to numerous achievements at the ACC D1 level while continuing to play professionally and excelling academically. This dual pursuit, athletic career with architectural aspirations has instilled in me a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, resilienc eand the ability to thrive under pressure.

I believe deeply in TIKUN OLAM, the Jewish ethos of repairing the world through acts of kindness and community service. This belief has driven my involvement in various volunteer activities.including volunteering initiatives and membership in the Vt Alpha Phi sorority club. Outside of my academic pursuits, I am honored to lead community initiatives in my free time as a strategy manager for the Hillel organization, emphasizing personal growth and collective well-being. I am deeply engaged in mentorship roles as a member of the university’s tennis club, where I mentor student tennis players, sharing both technical expertise and mental resilience.
